Explanation:
Vooropgesteld: Ik ga er van uit dat er twee schrijffouten zitten in de Source term: schoppen = shoppen (leenwoord voor winkelen) / appenrots = apenrots. Aangezien dat laatste een alternatieve benaming is van el Peñon (de Gibraltar) en de aanhalingstekens mijns inziens juist de nadruk willen leggen op het bezittelijk voornaamwoord 'su' zou ik in de vertaling het hele concept van apen achterwege laten. Volgens mij worden ze in Spanje meestal de macacos (de Gibraltar) genoemd, maar bij "a 'su' Peñon/Roca de macacos" verliest de uitdrukking aan kracht en duidelijkheid.

agree  Hans Geluk: Juist, zie ook mijn (letterlijke) antwoord in de andere vraag, maar Peñón (let op het accent) is de beste 'culturele substitutie'. Het is trouwens "en el Peñón", niet "al Peñón".
