The Albanian translation I mentioned in my last question also contains the word gremci, which is intended to mean towing hook (and drag hook/coupling hook). I can't find any confirmation on the web or in dictionaries.

agree  AstritIsm: Gremç is more adequate, in my opinion. `Kanxhë ` and `çengel` are Turkish words. `Kanxhë ` in Turkish means bird's nails, while `çengel` in Turkish means a tool in the shape of multiple hooks around the ring used for extracting things immersed in water.

disagree  Denis Haska: Referim tek Fjalori Politeknik (anglisht-shqip) i vitit 1991. Towing hook=Kanxhë rimorkimi. Mendoj se gremç është i ngjashëm në formë por me përmasa më të vogla.
