Ne disa vende, si p.sh. ne Itali, duhet te garantohet nje regjistrim i femijes tend ne shkollat e minibashkise ku banon. Komuna i kalon emrat Seksionit te Arsimit te bashkise (dhe jo te Prefektures) i cili te nis nje leter ne shtepi ku te njofton shkollat qe ke ne zonen tende dhe se ku ka me shume mundesira. Keto ne anglisht quhen Catching School, pra qe "catch" zonen tende.

agree  Ledja: Po,edhe në Angli e njëjta procedurë ndiqet. Parësia zakonisht i jepet nxënësve me adresë brenda "catchment area", pra brenda zonës përfshirëse të shkollës. Por të qenit shkollë e lagjes në këtë rast, nuk domethënë domosdoshmërisht distancë me këmbë :)

  -> E vërtetë Ledja :)), në lagje jo gjithnjë do të thotë walking distance. Bile catching schools jo gjithnjë përfshijnë vetëm një lagje, por edhe shumë prej tyre. Faleminderit :)

Explanation:
Catchment school is a term used in Britain equivalent with “zoned” school that we use in U.S.A. Your full ADDRESS determines the schools where you would be given PRIORITY admission. Catchment/ Zoned school guarantee a place for all students who live in a designated area. Zoned neighborhood schools are your first option when looking for a school. This works for both public and private schools. The policy for catchment / zoned private schools differs from the public school one. You have to apply and reach some criteria to get accepted in one of catchment private schools. Parents have a right to express a preference for a particular school and the Council will accommodate this wherever possible. Places are not allocated until demand is assessed against the number of available places at individual schools.

It seems to me that you are dealing with a catchment (private) school.
