English term or phrase: patchwork lessons
Engage, Study and Activate are the basic building blocks for successful language teaching
and learning. By using them in different and varied sequences, teachers will be doing their
best to promote their students’ success since various theories and procedures which have
informed debates about language learning are reflected in sequences such as straight arrows,
boomerang and patchwork lessons.

Arabic translation:النظام المختلط
Explanation:
I looked through references for an arabic version of the teaching methods and couldn't find an existing translation.

However, I found this explanation on the three systems [https://www.teflcorp.com/articles/esl-resources/esa-a-teachi...]
Harmer goes on to say that most classes are neither 'Straight Arrow' nor 'Boomerang' classes. They tend to be more mixed up than this. The sequences in his 'Patchwork' lessons include all these elements, but can do so more than once and in various orders. A sequence such as E.A.A.S.S.E.S.A would be perfectly possible.
...which lead me to believe that patchwork is essentially a complex mix of E, S & A stages so as to form a نظام مختلط

Again, I don't know of any definitive ESA translations so anyone’s literal approximation is as good as the next, including that of peer’s above.
