Asker: Bedankt, ik heb na nog wat zoekwerk nu het idee dat "lusversterker" de beste vertaling is.

neutral  Ron Willems: een signaalversterker wordt dacht ik door gebruikers zelf thuis geïnstalleerd, niet door de provider ergens in het netwerk. misschien is een loop extender ook wel een signaalversterker, maar signaalversterker is een breder begrip
