enduit anti-couple, vernis de contrôle anti-altération Explanation: Comme le Torque-Seal est une marque déposée, il ne faut pas traduire. Mais on peut traduire je crois par quelque chose comme "enduit anti-couple" ou "enduit de freinage" (j'aurais bien mis "vernis", mais il y a "lacquer") ("freinage" au sens empêcher de bouger). Les vernis sont utilisés en aéronautique sur les vis et pièces de fixation après serrage pour obtenir un "effet anti-desserrage" supplémentaire (en sus du "wirelock"). Je crois qu'il s'agit ici bien d'un de ces enduits, mais qui sert également (je ne sais comment) à faire apparaître au contrôleur qui vérifie les travaux si la pièce a été "tampered with" (si on l'a manipulée après pose du vernis, dans une intention possiblement de sabotage). Traduction non garantie, mais c'est une piste. HTH |

As I understand this sealant is used as a proof, I translated it as "Témoin de serrage". If the "témoin" or the "sceau" is broken, this means that extra torque ("couple", "couple de serrage" ou encore serrage") has been applied to the controled device. I wouldn't be suprised to see this compound applied on nuts and bolts assemblies. Put a little sealant on both screw and nut, let it dry. Extra roque applied to the assembly will "crack" the seal. Unfortunately, I haven't be able to find any link to french pages... HTH |
