Bonjour,

Dans la description d'atterrissage d'un avion (sur la piste de Leh, dans l'Himalaya), il est question de "slingshot turn":
"As the engines roar the bare, rocky slopes on either side creep ever closer, then seconds before you run out of sky, the plane executes a giddying slingshot turn and drops you on the tarmac, metres from the waiting porters."

J'ai vu qu'il pouvait s'agir d'un "effet de fronde", mais ce terme ne s'applique, d'après ce que je comprends, qu'aux engins spatiaux (fusées, etc.), et je ne vois pas comment il pourrait s'agir d'un "virage en effet de fronde" ici, si ce n'est par métaphore, mais peut-être que je me trompe.
