English term or phrase: Embodied carbon
I am currently translating a document on heritage buildings retrofit and rehabilitation. I am having trouble finding a satisfactory translation for the term "embodied carbon". Here is some context:

"Carbon emitted through building construction, including the entire process of extraction, fabrication, transportation, and assembly is called embodied carbon."

Quelqu'un peut-il/elle m'aider? Merci beaucoup
