English term or phrase: echo through the gallery
Bonjour,

Je ne sais pas comment traduire "echo" dans la phrase ci-dessous

"Striking blue of a veiled woman’s back echo through the gallery in Chelsea where Aphrodite Navab has her solo show displayed." Ten photographs, ten mirrors and two reflections in each add up to forty likenesses of the artist as she assumes her identity as Super East-West Woman once again.

Merci de votre aide

miroite dans toute la gallérie

Explanation:
"Echo" seems to be a badly chosen word, as it clearly implies hearing and not sight. This seems to me to be an idle choice of words, rather than any artistic touch.

If you do wish to keep the implied idea of hearing, you could use "retentir".

After further thought, I would like to qualify my initial dislike of the expression.

"Echo" can also convey the idea of "reproduction" without necessarily bearing any relation to sound.
In which case this could work - one original, and however many reproduction that mirror the original.

In which case, "retentir" doesn't really work.
Also, my idea of "miroiter" doesn't really convey the idea that these many reproductions "reflect" the original.

So, all in all, confidence 3/5 is justified = just one idea, I'm sure that more suitable suggestions will be provided by others.
