Ce n'est pas l'objet de la question, mais permettez à un botaniste-jardinier amateur de planter une graine ici : s'il s'agit d'un texte technique plutôt que d'une généralisation grand public, il serait préférable d'utiliser le terme « adventice », plus technique que les mauvaises herbes et autres herbes folles. Cf. par exemple : https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adventice.

De toute manière, « désherbage » seul suffit ici. Quelque chose comme : « Réunion avec le ministre des Infrastructures à propos du projet de désherbage le long de [National Highway]. »
