The audio and phonetic analyses which inform this investigation are based purely on the digital representations of the acoustic and speech content comprised in the evidential media which was obtained in two distinct batches. The first of which is known as the 2009 Sample Recordings (twelve telephone calls); the second is the 2014 Test Recordings (eleven telephone calls).

No other independently produced acoustic and/or speech recordings existed or were otherwise knowingly available for use. In light of the foregoing facts, analyses of electrical network frequencies could not be incorporated into the forensic audio continuity testing performed.
