disagree  Tony M: If we don't assume there is an error in the source text, then we need to take this pun at face value.

agree  Tony M: Yes, exactly that! It's a humorous play on words: "I'm on a 'see food' diet" "Oh yes, what's that, then — fish and things?" "No, I see food and I can't resist eating it!"

disagree  Tony M: 'Bulimia' is a specific medical condition, and has nothing to do with the source text here, which is all about simply poor 'hygiène alimentaire'.

régime vorace, régime de glouton, régime de goinfre, régime de morfale...

Explanation:
I don't know any equivalent pun in French, but I would try synonyms of "glouton" in French...

neutral  Tony M: Doesn't really convey the right idea here: we are not talking about someone who is per se greedy: it's just a humorous reference to their non-diet, in which they eat anything they like (but not necessarily a lot)
28 mins

6 mins

disagree  Tony M: This is not at all what the source text says. If it were intended to mean what you claim, this would simply not be the way we would express that in idiomatic, native-speaker EN: we don't speak of 'food diet', which steers us to the correct interpretation

-> Strictly speaking, "see food diet" means "voir régime alimentaire", but if "see" is mistaken for "sea", then that's another story... We have too little context.
