English term or phrase: up and away
I recently came across this expression and I am quite puzzled about it.

I have no pb with push up and push away, but I have this feeling that "up and away" has nothing to do with those two directions and rather means "far (away)".

I did a bit of research on Internet but I am still not convinced. Somes instances on Linguee just don't seem right.
Could anybody (native) tell me a bit more about it?

Many thanx

neutral  Tony M: This is not the actual expression Asker was originally asking about, and in any case, 'away' doesn't really correpond to 'loin' so much as 'éloignant'.
