Not the usual sense of someone who is standing by 'on call'

neutral  Daryo: in principle yes, but we don't know the exact nature of this "call" - it might be "being on a phone / teleconference call" or also "calling" at client's premises ... // "engagé avec un client"?

-> Thanks, Daryo! I'm pretty confident, from the clues in the general context, that this is indeed a PHONE call; I believe if it had been a visit, they'd have put something like "out on a call" — the relevant point being they were 'out' of the office.

On Call
engagé avec un client

Explanation:
as part of this specific list:

Agent / team availability for service:

Idle (Agent is available)
On Call (during the call)
Off Call (after call work/other) / available for other tasks

"On Call" means "busy with a client" - implied: not available to take any new "call" if it comes.

Note added at 17 hrs (2021-02-14 04:29:22 GMT)
--------------------------------------------------

"after call work" would suggest that each "call" involves some kind of "work" to be done.

Usually just talking on the phone would not be called "work", although it is a kind of "work".

Anyway, whatever is the exact nature of the "call" and of the "call work", "engagé avec un client" can't be wrong.
