French translation: ou autres lieux naturels

English term or phrase: and so on
On parle des divinités (appelées kami) du shintoïsme :

Mitama is the divine presence, the spirit of the kami, conceived as a spiritual emanation from it, which resides in mountains and so on, or in his temple earth.

"and so on" n'est-il pas bizarre ici, sans énumération?

French translation:ou autres lieux naturels
Explanation:
Mitama n'est apparemment pas un kami mais l'esprit des kami. Il réside dans les montagnes ou tout autre lieu naturel propre au kami en question.

Je pense qu'il s'agit d'endroits hauts ou reclus, fermés, comme les montagnes, des endroits qui ont qqch d'un temple.

Explanation:
The comma is throwing us all - it should read:
resides in mountains and so on, or in, his temple earth.
« réside dans les montagnes et donc sur ou dans la terre qui est son temple » - or words to that effect

agree  Raymonde Gagnier: C'est comme ça que je comprends la phrase moi aussi! Selon Stéphanie, c'est "dans son temple sur terre". :-)
