I'm not sure about the fine points of each of these methods, but as an example, you could vote by:
- being given one token you put in either a box for YES or in a box for NO
- being given one paper with options printed on it and you cross your choice and put the paper in one and same box whatever is your choice
etc
IOW here "ballot" is about the purely practical aspect of voting, NOT the concept of voting.
" ... in such manner and at such place as the chairman may direct (including the use of ballot or voting papers or tickets)"
=> the chairman of the meeting decides about the practicalities of the vote |
