Yes, that's of course the way we use 'establishment' in EN — but it's a bit of a faux ami, as I constantly see it used in FR with this wider sense of a 'business establishment'; in particualr, you will find this sort of usage by e.g. the INSEE, where one 'entreprise' mais have several different 'établissements' — which are what lead to the last 5 digits of my SIRET number; I have moved office 6 times, so the number of my 'établissement' is now in the 60s; I think you have to try and get away from the notion of a physical plant, but rather look at it as 'the notion of a place where a business operates', in a rather more 'abstract' way. |
