neutral  Tony M: I don't see how in EN 'on point' could possibly mean 'at the point' — the more familiar expression is 'on points', meaning a ballet-dancer on the tips of their toes, but I don't imagine it's that here; so I come back to 'on the point', 'to the point', ...

A little bit of Googling seems to confirm that this usage of 'on point' does indeed mean relevant, pertinent, to the point; here's just one example of its being used in that sense:
