disagree  Daryo: (1) La couverture maladie universelle (CMU) is not a charity, it's paid from a state budget (2) using names that are specific to France for institutions outside of France is misleading

  -> It is certainly considered as such by the population. And there is NO other means to access to healthcare AFAIK.

  -> Pas en France, c'est bien ce que j'ai dit, et c'est pourquoi on ne peut pas traduire "charity" par CMU. Le terme à traduire est "charity", pas Welfare state.
