Le sujet est une arme à feu.

"The magazine holds 30 rounds. Some magazines are fitted with a raised follower, this catches on the bolt after the last round has been fired, enabling the bolt to be retained to the rear, thus signalling an empty magazine to the firer."

J'éviterais de l'appeler planchette, c'est une pièce en laiton ou en acier, appelée correctement élévateur, qui pousse les cartouches dans le chargeur sous la poussée d'un ressort:
