Throughout the doct there are references to what infant can eat and cannot eat basically or which food items are suitable for them or not.. the expression 'up to and an age comes up a lot', although simple, tricky to find an good rendering or do we have to 'etoffer' the relevant bit of sentence.. Thank you all for your help.

The word "infant" came from the Latin infans which was derived from in-, not + Fari, to speak = not to speak, speechless. The idea was that, since the ability to speak was thought to arrive at the age of two, younger children were infants.
