Also, I feel that this lens is highly compatible with the XXX sensor. The photographs taken with a XXX lens using positive film are revived. The film-like, high resolution, silk-like sensor, produces the deep colors of the lens.

capteur soyeux

Explanation:
This is horribly subjective, figurative language for a technical context.

I can't even really begin to imagine what s/he is talking about — it is almost certainly in fact the post-sensor processing that is resulting in a 'silky' image appearance! A bit of artistic codswallop, if you ask me ;-)

De qualité raffinée, de qualité supérieure

Explanation:
A figure of speech gives a different dimension to the message a writer wants to convey. Silk is one of the most beautiful textile fibers, and a rare luxury good. Silk-like is a poetic way of conveying the superiority of the caption.

It is a matter of opinion. If you research the historical interpretation of the word silk from ancient China to our present subject, I can be subjective and have my own impression. French is one of the romance languages and the imagery that it inspires is not rigid but uniquely French. No need to mention the "Age of Enlightenment" with Molière, Lafontaine, Rousseau etc.

A poetic tone does not have to be poetry per se.

disagree  Tony M: This is not poetry, this is technical marketing spiel. 'silky' in image terms etc. usually means 'smooth', probably the opposite of 'granular'; nothing to do with luxury or quality as such.
