"circuit bearers" supports physique de notre propre réseau Explanation: the idea is that this telecom company has its own separate network spanning several countries; this network is connecting all the PoP (Point of Presence) where the network can be accessed (usually you would use the point of presence for the country/city you are in). Having your own "separate private network" doesn't mean that you have to physically build it - you can use any form of "physical support" for connecting various Points of Presence - your own or leased from another company - that's what these "circuit bearer" are. Physically it could be any kind of dedicated high speed connection, and in actual fact it doesn't even need to be "physical" [various cables] it could also be microwave links, satellite links ... ... a significant number of *circuit bearers* => redundancy is built into the network, which allows "... to reroute traffic to avoid a single point of failure" CL5 about the meaning, OTOH the wording might be improved. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 1 day1 hr (2015-06-20 13:28:06 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- supports physiques de notre propre réseau -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 1 day1 hr (2015-06-20 13:42:39 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- you could see this as a kind of "Virtual Private Network" spanning several countries and using various form of "physical support" [layer 1 of the OSI model] for each section of this network. |
