It's very important here to understand the 'feel' of this phrase — the use of 'sleeping arrangements', qualified as it is here simply by 'comfortable', should not be over-interpreted as relating to the 'disposition des couchages' etc. — just remember that we do not have a single word available in EN to cover 'places where one sleeps' in general (though we do have 'berths' ina specifically nautical context only) — hence IMHO the writer has chosen 'arrangements' (arguably, poorly chosen!) here to try and cover all possibilities; in order to get away from any specific connotation of 'the way they are arranged' (= 'disposition' etc.), try imagining it as if the writer had put 'sleeping facilities' instead — the meaning would be basically the same, and might lead us (too literally!) to 'dispositifs de couchage' in FR.
But luckily, in FR, a single word DOES exist, which isexactly what is needed here, with no additional qualification than 'comfortable' needed. |
