Concernant diving (plongeur), je ne traduirais pas. Les oiseaux plongeurs sont généralement des oiseaux marins et s'il s'agit d'un oiseau marin inapte au vol, il est forcément bon nageur et bon plongeur.

  -> En fait flightless diving birds désigne les sphénisciformes. On peut dire "palmipède inapte au vol", mais "oiseau plongeur incapable de voler" sent l'anglais.
