On a birth certificate it is written PG before the mother signs the certificate.
Does it mean "parental guidance"?

PG
Parent or Guardian

Explanation:
For lack of any other responses, this comes to mind.

"Parent or Guardian" is a common enough phrase,

and could be relevant to a birth certificate.

Although I've never known it to be abbreviated to "PG", it makes more sense to me in the stated context than "parental guidance" would (even though that's the most common meaning of "PG" in English).

But without more context it's impossible to be certain.
Maybe it means "page". Or maybe one of the nurses was called "Peter Green" and their initials were recorded. Maybe it's a misprint.

When you say PG was "written", do you mean hand-written, or typed into the form, or part of the original (pro forma) text on the form?
