modifiziert Explanation: Es gibt wohl "kommodifiziert", jedoch im wirtschaftlichen Sinne (zur Ware werden). In der Chemie ist wohl eher co-modified gemeint, vielleicht einfach nur "modifiziert"? |

kommerziell nutzbar gemacht Explanation: there is no direct translation for comodified. Basically it means that this substance is brought to commercial use, ergo, it became a commodity. " kommerziell nutzbar gemacht" would be a possibility The term comodified (I think it spells "commodified") is indeed derived from commodity and usually applied to "Rohstoffe" chemicals, chemical elements, Gummibears :-) which are prepared or processed for use as commercial goods. On the other hand, depending on the context, since commonly grains and other livestock are called commodities this might also mean processed for use as fertilizer, pestizide, or anything alike. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 2002-02-12 13:53:09 (GMT) -------------------------------------------------- just my 2 cents Reference: http://www.commods.reuters.com/grains/index.html |
