English term or phrase: pigment grade minerals
Having confirmed the safety profile of its nanoparticles
on the skin, XXXXX is using a nanosized titanium dioxide as
a UV filter in the formulation of its suncare line because
these particles have demonstrated more efficiency
than pigment grade minerals, offering an increased
UVB protection per equivalent weight.

Pigmentäre mineralische UV-Filter
Explanation:
I'll go out on a limb and go first with the suggestion above.
There is "subpigmentäres Titanoxid (Teilchengröße im Bereich von etwa 10 bis 200 nm)" in Link #1. There is also "pigmentäres TiO2" (titanium dioxide) and "pigmentäre UV-Filter" (Link #2). And "mineralische UV-Filter" is very common, o why shouldn't there be pigmentäre mineralische UV-Filter?

disagree  inkweaver: Es geht nicht um Farbstoffe, sondern um Sonnenschutz mit mineralischen Filtersubstanzen, die als Nanopartikel oder auch als größere Partikel enthalten sein können.

At least the European Patent Office has one hit for pigment-grade minerals in sun protection cosmetics. A snippet from the document linked below is posted as an example sentence.

so, the mineral particles are considered "pigment-grade" when they have a certain size...

Example sentence(s):
  • Although the treatment of titanium dioxide pigments with phospholipid was described in many cited prior art documents, the Opposition Division was of the view that the pigment-grade (200 nm) and fine-grade (smaller than 100 nm) titanium dioxide particles
