The Presence/Absence test in non-sterile products has been designed to detect aerobic, facultative anaerobic bacteria and yeast in non-sterile products after neutralization and incubation steps.
This protocol is a qualitative test: Samples are incubated into a ***boost*** for several hours before being processed following the protocol described in this document. The system results correspond to the number of microorganisms per mL of enriched and labeled sample. This number cannot be linked to the sample contamination before of the incubation phase.
