Gerna(yl)oxid
Explanation:

Methanol
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
(Redirected from Methylic alcohol)
Methanol, also known as methyl alcohol amongst other names, is a chemical with the formula CH3OH (a methyl group linked to a hydroxyl group, often abbreviated MeOH).
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Methanol

A methyl group is an alkyl derived from methane, containing one carbon atom bonded to three hydrogen atoms — CH3. In formulas, the group is often abbreviated Me.
:
The term "methyl" was derived in about 1840 by back-formation from "methylene", and was then applied to describe "methyl alcohol" (which since 1892 is called "methanol").
Methyl is the IUPAC nomenclature of organic chemistry term for an alkane (or alkyl) molecule, using the prefix "meth-" to indicate the presence of a single carbon.

Linaloyl oxide
Linaloyl oxide is a member of the class of oxanes carrying a vinyl substituent at position 2 as well as three methyl substituents at positions 2, 6 and 6. It is a member of oxanes and an olefinic compound.
:
Linaloyl oxide is found in alcoholic beverages. Linaloyl oxide is a flavouring and fragrence ingredient. Linaloyl oxide is present in roselle tea, muscat grapes, lime oil, alfalfa, Riesling wine, grapefruit, yellow passion fruit, apricot, blackberry, blueberry, nectarine, cherimoya, papaya and curuba fruits.

Limetol

Explanation:
We have already seen that EN "limetol" is a synonym for EN "geranic oxide", through the proposed Answer of Johannes Gleim and through the link to http://www.thegoodscentscompany.com/data/rw1031471.html that has already been posted a couple of times. However, it didn't get much attention, and the prospect that it might have a German equivalent was not discussed.

It turns out that there is some (a little) support for adoption of DE "Limetol" as the translation of EN "limetol", itself being a synonym for EN "geranic oxide".

For reference see also the NIST entry for EN "geranic oxide".
https://webbook.nist.gov/cgi/cbook.cgi?ID=R621153&Mask=200

We can find "LIMETOL" confirmed as having the same CAS number (7392-19-0), same chemical formula (C₁₀H₁₈O) and same molecular mass (154.2493) as EN "geranic oxide". Although unfortunately it's not clear whether "LIMETOL" is listed as EN or DE (or both).
https://www.chemicalbook.com/ChemicalProductProperty_EN_CB12...

There are also a couple of mentions of DE "Limetol" in specialised German texts:

https://patentimages.storage.googleapis.com/95/47/8c/84a336a...
This is a patent written in German, with claimants & inventors based in Germany; a specialised text on "Aromastoffe" written by experts.
(Notice also that "Rosenoxid" is distinguished as an entirely separate chemical substance.)

"Limetol = 2-ethenyl-2,6,6-trimethyltetrahydropyran : [CAS-Nr =] 7392-19-0"
https://books.google.com.au/books?id=UjIgBAAAQBAJ&pg=PA50&lp... ["Riechstoffe, zwischen Gestank und Duft: Vorkommen, Eigenschaften und Anwendung von Riechstoffen und deren Gemischen" By Wolfgang Legrum https://link.springer.com/book/10.1007/978-3-658-07310-7 . Table 3.05, page 50.]
Again this is a German text, written by an expert based in Germany, that is entirely about aromas.

Advantages of DE "Limetol" as a translation of EN "geranic oxide":
* it means only one thing — there's no ambiguity;
* it refers to a particular chemical, just as "geranic oxide" does — it's not a mixture of things;
* it refers to exactly the same chemical substance (same chemical structure and same CAS number) as "geranic oxide" does;
* it is a 'common name', not a systematic name, as fitting with the source text. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trivial_name

Another reference on EN "limetol":
"Limetol, is the cyclized derivative of linalool, melanol, and other unsaturated alcohols, that was shown to give a product mixture that can be used in fragrance and perfumery industry."
http://www.molbase.com/en/7392-19-0-moldata-1554070.html

Here is the synthesis of limetol (which is "geranic oxide") from linalool:
http://www.molbase.com/en/synthesis_7392-19-0-moldata-155407...

Note added at 2 days 12 hrs (2019-09-25 01:13:52 GMT)
--------------------------------------------------

A possible disadvantage of choosing DE "Limetol" is that it is seldom used in German. But, on the other hand, EN "geranic oxide" is used only rarely in English too. https://www.bing.com/search?q=+"geranic oxide" -germanium
Although German readers might not find many elucidations of DE "Limetol", the convenient coincidence of its spelling with that of EN "limetol" should allow them to discover which chemical is meant without much difficulty.
