On our Victorian remodeling project we replaced a few old windows with new Andersen Tilt-Wash double-hung windows, about $300 for the 28" x 64" size shown here.

This seems to be something American - no idea whether there is a German equivalent for these windows. Any idea anyone? Grateful for your help, as always!

Tilt-wash bedeutet, dass die Fensterteile zudem gekippt werden können, für erleichtertes Reinigen.

Grundsätzlich finde ich Doppelflügelfenster eher misleading, ich muss da an Fenster mit zwei zu öffnenden Flügeln denken (wie eine Doppelflügeltür). Die Google-Bildsuche nach "Doppelflügelfenster" gibt mir da auch recht.
Vielleicht also eher Schiebefenster? Hier stößt die Google-Suche auf ähnlichere Ergebnisse wie die Anderson-Modelle.

ich habe mir mal Fenster dieser Firma angeschaut und denke, dass diese Doppelflügelfenster gemeint sein könnten. Vielleicht könntest du auch Bilder bekommen vom Kunden. Schaue dir auf jeden Fall mal die Website an.
Gegebenenfalls könnte man dazu setzen "mit Schiebefunktion"

Explanation:
The Andersen 200 Series tilt wash double hung window was first introduced in the year 2000. This double-hung features tilt-in cleaning convenience, natural wood interiors and chamfer detailing. The tilt latches are located on the top rail of each sash and are spring loaded. Once the sash is opened a few inches the spring latches can be retracted and the sash will tilt in.

neutral  D. I. Verrelli: It could be possible, depending upon whether "Wendeflügel" relates exclusively to vertically oriented axes, as in your reference and also https://www.aluminiumprofi.de/indexl.php?id97=$1 , or whether it can also be used for tilting on a horizontal axis.
