Cadenas Explanation: Franz. = Vorhängeschloss Der "Cadenas" fungierte als eine Art Platzteller für einen wichtigen Gast bei Tisch. (…) Der Cadenas war im 14. Jh. in Frankreich üblich und blieb im wesentlichen auf den französischen Adel und das Königshaus beschränkt. In England hieß der Cadenas - Caddinet.
