Participants in the Swedish workshop suggested that better regional collaboration would improve access to care for lung cancer patients. ... Where patient organisations exist and are actively involved, such as in Norway and Spain, workshop participants valued their contributions; where they are missing, such as in Austria, participants noted their absence.
Workshop participants in Slovakia and Slovenia noted that more generalised cancer patient organisations exist that focus across cancer types and they make efforts to speak to issues important to people living with lung cancer.
