Hallo liebe Kollegen,

bin gerade bei der Übersetzung einer Bedienungsanleitung für ein Laser-Geschwindigkeitsmessgerät und bin dabei auf "roadside offset" gestoßen. Weiß jemand, ob es dafür im Deutschen einen bestimmten Fachbegriff gibt? Hier die Definition:

Roadside Offset
The Roadside Offset is equal to the distance from the location where you are taking the DBC measurement to the mid-point or center of the road where the vehicle is travelling. The offset is used to eliminate any bias in the DBC (distance between cars) calculation due to the cosine effect (page 28). As Figure #57 shows, when DBC is enabled the System Setup Screen includes a Road Offset value located in the bottom right corner.

Explanation:
Scheint wirklich schwierig zu sein, im Deutschen etwas Passendes zu finden. Ich würde obige Lösung wählen, natürlich ginge auch "Offset" (in der Messtechnik ein gängiger Begriff) bzw. "Verschiebung".

Explanation:
mithilfe derer das Gerät von vornherein, ohne daß extra eine Art Mißweisungskorrektur vorgenommen werden müßte, exaktere Ergebnisse liefert.
Etwa wie ein trim beim Flugzeug.
