(Breite der)Rippen Explanation: Cord ist ein so genanntes Hohlschussgewebe, das man auch Schnürlsamt, Schnürdelsamt oder Manchester nennt. Typisches Kennzeichen sind die samtigen Längsrippen in Fadenlaufrichtung auf der Oberseite des Stoffes. Die Rippen entstehen während des Webens und werden aufgeschnitten. Je nach Breite und somit Zahl der Rippen bezogen auf die gesamte Stoffbreite unterscheidet man Cord in: Breitcord (10 bis 25 Rippen je 10 cm Gewebe) Feincord (44 bis 50 Rippen je 10 cm Gewebe) Babycord (mehr als 40 Rippen je 10 cm Gewebe) und Cordsamt (mehr als 50 Rippen je 10 cm Gewebe) https://www.deerberg.de/blog/wissenswertes/textilkunde-cord |
