Explanation: Είναι η πρότασή μου και όχι ακριβής μετάφραση. Δεν μεταφράζει ακριβώς τις λέξεις του κειμένου σου, αλλά από την έρευνα διαπίστωσα ότι αυτό εννοεί.
I haven't had any feedback from my client. However as a result of further thorough research and thanks to the helpful comments of the participants in the present query, I will close the issue considerigng "διαλύματα (or διαλύτες) υδρογονάνθρακα" as one of the possible valid answers that could translate the term mineral products in the special dry cleaning cases (F-label indicacions), according to the wording or this question. As an alternative, I also accept "καθάρισμα με βάση το πετρέλαιο". I hope this explanation satisfies all answerers. Once again, thank you all.

Πρβ. White spirit (UK) or ***mineral spirits (US)***, also known as mineral turpentine, turpentine substitute, petroleum spirits, solvent naphtha (petroleum), varsol, Stoddard ... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/White_spirit
Άρα mineral products = [καθαριστικά] προϊόντα με βάση τη βενζίνη.
I think that your choice 'διαλύτες υδρογονάνθρακα' is the best in this case. The theoretical term 'ορυκτοί διαλύτες' is never used in Greek - at least I have never come across. And I am ca. 40 years in the paints business.
Ηi, @rokotas, thank you for your explanation, to me it's pretty clear what you say, although I must say I was a bit confused with this extensive use of the word "minerals". Would you dare saying that "διαλύτες υδρογονάνθρακα" is the right and only way to translate "mineral products/essences", in this case? I still don't grasp the choise of the original text; they could have said "petroleum-based solvents or hydrocarbon solvents... Anyway, I am still waiting for the client's feedback on this. I want to thank you all for your help, I really appreciate your useful comments.
Please believe me that the term 'mineral' is used very widely for hydrocarbon solvents and white spirit. Besides there are many terms used for this latter solvent, one of which is 'mineral spirits'.
Of course hydrocarbons (and white spirit which is a mixture thereof) are organic substances and not inorganic. However the term 'mineral' is used in many contexts. In one context it means inorganic salts (which are compounds of a metal and an anion, hence metallic compounds) because inorganic salts often occur in nature as minerals. In other contexts such as e.g. paints, solvents etc it means (within the general term solvents) the hydrocarbon solvents, because they derive from crude oil by distillation and other processes. In this specific case it is clear that 'mineral' refers to hydrocarbon solvents. By the way white spirit is widely used in dry cleaning, not only in paints. My comment at the answers was quite short due to restriction in the number of letters, that's why it was not sufficiently clear. I hope that this clears everything.
Maybe, they are talking of 'Baking Soda' which is used extensively in cleaning!! if your cleaning subject refers to 'home cleaning' (laundering).
<<<Baking Soda in the Laundry Baking soda is one of the most versatile products in the laundry room. It can be used to reduce odor, soften clothes, clean irons and suppress overly energetic bubbles!>>>
Well, these are just laundeing labels you see, so there is no more text for the moment. Perchloroethylene would correspond to another symbol (P), and I already know the answer to that. It is the "F" I need. FYI, and I repeat, this is as much I can provide at this point, the text goes: DRY CLEANING A - Using any type of solvent F - Using mineral products only P - Clean with Perchloroethylene
Whereas I appreciate Vasliki's answer, I do not accept 'hydrocarbons' as 'mineral products'. Mineral product is the Crude oil, which is 'mined', or better in Greek, 'ορύσσετε', and 'hydrocarbons' are 'derivatives' (παράγωγα) of Crude oil which are produced above ground, therefore NOT a 'mineral product'. These are ORGANIC products. Strictly speaking, any products used for Dry cleaning are 'Derivatives' produced from a Petroleum base, or even synthetically. In my mind, therefore, these cannot be either 'mineral products' or 'ανόργανα προϊόντα'. If you want a precise answer you have to ask a precise question.
Ηi, transphy, and thanks for posting. This is exactly why I asked for help [see my comment on Vasiliki´s answer on hydrocarbon and see her relevant note"F: Dry clean with petroleum-based solvents such as R113 and hydrocarbon (mineral essences)" ]. Regretably, the only info I have so far, is the one I 've already given you when I uploaded the question. What puzzles me is the use of the term "mineral products"in this context. It is clear that "F" chiefly refers to petroleum solvents, but there must be a reason why my client decided not to use it. I guess I'd have to wait on my client's clarifiation before I come up with more clues:)
@ ΑSKER:- All the Elements in the Periodic Table of Elements, and their Compounds, are Inorganic, EXCEPT the Compounds of Carbon, which are Organic. Hyrdocarbons fall into the family of Organic Compounds, as they are compounds of Hydrogen and Carbon, ie Methane, Ethane, Butane, Propane, Alcohols, etc. HOWEVER, in Dry cleaning the solvents used, normally, are Perchloroethylene or tetrachloroethylene. BOTH of these are ORGANIC compounds. You asked for 'mineral products'(which are NOT Organic) and which contain 'metals'. Please give a bit of your text to clarify the wanted.
