| Reference: ספינה רב-תכליתית Reference information: Whilst my military dictionary gives חיל משלוח for "expeditionary force", therefore logic might dictate something like what you suggested above. I agree that it lacks something intangible..... If Doron's link is accurate (my own research suggests it is) that an expeditionary ship is an amphibious, multipurpose, multifunction ship then perhaps something along the lines of ספינה רב-תכליתית might be possible.
