जिस तरह से लोग दिशा निर्देशों का उल्लंघन कर रहे हैं और सरकार की अपील को अनसुना कर रहे हैं, उसके बाद ऐसे लोगों पर लोग सोशल मीडिया पर जमकर निशाना साध रहे हैं। इस तरह के लोगों के लिए एक नया शब्द सामने आया है। जो लोग सरकार के निर्देशों का पालन नहीं कर रहे हैं, नियमों का उल्लंघन कर रहे हैं, जमाखोरी कर रहे हैं, पैनिक बाइंग कर रहे हैं, उन्हें लोग सोशल मीडिया ने 'कोविडियट' 'COVIDIOT' कहकर संबोधित कर रहे हैं। इस शब्द का इजाद कोविड-19 से किया गया है।
