I think you don't get the point. Nut graf and lead mean 2 different things in English. They are NOT the same as "crisps and chips", because crisps and chips mean the same. They are synonyms. Maybe you don't know that the difference between crisps and chips are only geographical (US vs. UK English), but they are the same. See: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Potato_chip

But nut graf (nutgraf or nutgraph) is NOT the same as lead. That's the point!! Look at the definition: "A nut graph, by the way, is the paragraph directly after the lead which gives the big picture and explains the story's relevance or larger significance. " Since nutgraf is the paragraph directly after lead (first comes lead and then nutgraf) they are NOT the same. They have 2 different definitions. Also as you can see if these 2 terms (nutgraf and lead) come up within the same text or sentence, it would be a huge translation mistake if someone would translate both nutgraf and lead as "lead".
I've been thinking of this. Isn't this a bit like "crisps" and "chips"? We DO know that "crisps" are not "chips" yet everybody calls them "chips" in Hungary. It's all over the shops, packages, everywhere. Using the English word. Which is sad too. "hírtörzs összefoglalója" is a fantastac solution but I can't see anybody using it in the profession. They say: "lead". Sad, I know. And there I rest my case.
A gyakorlatban viszont az Ön elmélete nem működik.
Ha megpróbáljuk az alábbi angol könyv 488. oldalát magyarra lefordítani az Ön elmélete alapján, tehát a nut graf-t és a lead-et nem különbözetjük meg egymástól, hanem mindkettőre a lead-et használjuk, akkor nagyon nagy fordítói bakit követünk el.

6. Nekem nagyon az az érzésem, hogy Ön itt csak belecsöppent ebbe a kérdésbe: gyorsan a kérdező segítségére sietett (alátámasztva a lead-et). De szerintem pontosan a sietségen van a hangsúly: a saját beírásában is ellentmond önmagának, hisz azt írja, hogy valószínűleg igazam van a nut graf-fel kapcsolatosan. A kérdés pedig maga az angol nut graf volt. :) Ha a brit, az amerikai, az ausztrál szakma szerint a nut graf más, mint a lead, akkor igenis a fordítónak kutya kötelessége megkülönböztetni a kettőt, mert mi van akkor, ha egy újságírói szakszövegben a lead és a nut graf együtt szerepel? Ráadásul az angolban meg is adják, hogy miért nem ugyanaz. Teljesen más a szerepük. Akkor mindkettőre azt írja a fordító, hogy lead? Az egész szöveg érthetetlen lesz. A fordító fordítson, az újságíró meg írjon szerintem. :)
5. Remélem nem gondolja azt, hogy ha nincs egy angol szónak magyar megfelelője, akkor is azt kell (helytelenül) használni, amit itthon használnak. Ugyanis a hivatkozásokból tökéletesen kiolvasható, hogy az angolban a lead nem ugyanaz, mint a nutgraf. Pontosan azt írtam, hogy a magyar újságírás a nutgraf kifejezést nem értelmezi. De mivel az amerikai vagy a brit vagy az ausztrál újságírásban igenis létezik ez a szó, ezért kell rá magyar megfelelőt találni. De az már rég rossz, ha valaki gyorsan ráhúzza, hogy ja ez majdnem olyan, mint nálunk a lead, ugyanis nem az. A nutgraf és a lead más az angolban. Több százezer félrefordítást lehetne azzal a téves felfogással elkövetni, hogy ilyen itthon nincs, akkor használunk egy olyan kifejezést, ami létezik és nem vesszük figyelembe, hogy az az eredeti nyelvben nem ugyanazt jelenti. Ez egy igen nagy fordítói baki lenne. Egy fordítónak az a dolga, hogy pontos megfelelőt találjon, és ha az adott nyelven különveszik a lead-et és a nutgraf-t, akkor külön szót kell rá találnia. Én sem most kezdtem a fordító szakmát, és rengeteg jó minőségű fordítás áll a hátam mögött.
Nagyon úgy tűnik, hogy nem ismeri a Kudoz szabályokat. A személyeskedés a proz oldalon nem megengedett. Egy ilyen kijelentés Proz szabályai szerint törlendő: "bizony, több évtizedes írói, újságírói és szerkesztő gyakorlatom során soha sem találkoztam ennél blődebb és a földtől elrugaszkodottabb elgondolással. " Tehát, kérem disztingválja magát! De szerintem erre maga is rájön, miután elolvassa az alábbi pontokat:
1. Szerintem az angol nyelv miatt nem értjük egymást. 2. Én pontosan dettó ugyanazt írtam, hogy a lead a magyarban lead marad, illetve írják még lídként is (ami szerintem borzalmasan hangzik). 3. Most jön be itt egy utalás az 1. pontra: azért nem értjük egymást, mert valószínűleg vagy csak átfutotta a válaszom angol részét (vagy sietségből vagy nem értette meg az angol szöveget). 4. A feladat nem az, hogy megtaláljuk a lead angol szó magyar megfelelőjét, hanem a nutgraf angol szóét. Saját maga hozzá is tette, hogy "Bár lehet, hogy igaz, amit a nut graf-ról ír". Tehát teljesen érthetetlen számomra a beírása, mert a nut graf az eredeti kérdés, nem a lead. A magyar újságírói szakma persze, hogy a lead-et használja a lead angol szóra (hisz abból az angol szóból ered).

Azért nyomtam disagreet 1. mert nincs neutral (bár én balga még akkor is sokszor neutralt nyomok a normál kudoz kérdéseknél, ha az egyet nem értésemet akarom kifejezni), de a GBK kérdéseknél csak NO és YES van. 2. Mint lent kifejtettem kb. 25 percet töltöttem el délután ezzel a kifejezéssel, és mivel nagyon körbejártam a dolgot, és először én is ilyenekben gondolkoztam, hogy ennek biztos van valami magyar megfelelője, és bennem is megfordult, hogy a lead és a nutgraf ugyanaz, de egy csomó linket találtam, amiben tényszerűen leírják, hogy a nutgraf közvetlenül a lead után következik, ekkor jöttem rá, hogy ez tuti nem a lead, és erre bevett szakkifejezést nem fogok találni magyarul. Definition from own experience or research: A magyar újságírásban nincs rá bevett szakkifejezés. De a magyar "érdemi rész" vagy "esszencia" szavak pontosan visszaadják az angol nutshell paragraph (nut graph/nutgraph/nut graf/nutgraf) kifejezés értelmét. Ez nem összefoglalás, nem alcím, nem szalagcím, hanem 1 vagy 2 mondatból álló érdemi rész azaz ez a cikk esszenciája.

Writing features can be more demanding than writing straight news stories, because while a journalist must apply the same amount of effort to accurately gather and report the facts of the story, he or she must also find a creative and interesting way to write it. És egy megjegyzés: sportszerűtlennek találom, hogy akkor adjon valaki "disagree" értékelést, amikor maga is adott be választ. "Neutral" lenne a megfelelő, egy ilyen helyzetben.
A lead egy bevezető amely a tudósítás legfontosabb elemeit foglalja össze egy két mondatban, eltérő betűtipussal szedve a szövegtől.

Katalin Szilárd A GBK kérdéseknél nincs neutral. Általában neutralt szoktam beírni, sőt nagyon ez jellemző rám (aki ismeri a kudoz aktivitásom) az tudja. Disagreet csak akkor szoktam írni, ha nagyon biztos vagyok benne, hogy nem jó. A mai napon kb 20-25 percem ment el erre a kérdésre. Először is a neten megnéztem, majd megkérdeztem egy újságírói csapatot. A lead (magyarul líd - sajnos így írják) angol megfelelője a lead. Ez nem ugyanaz, mint a nutgraf. Az egy dolog, hogy a wikipedia úgy írja, hogy lásd nutgraf. A Wikipediát bárki írhatja, ezért érdemes több és autentikusabb helyen megnézni a neten. Lásd: Lede or Lead
