English term or phrase: taking flight
I'm looking for a translation of the words "taking flight" as used in a mental/spiritual healing. Coming to a certain time/place in ones life when they are taking flight into their "own"...
taking flight
Hungarian translation:szárnyra kap / szárnyra kel / indul
Explanation:
1. pld.: The moment the lock had clicked open, the key took flight again, looking very battered now that it had been caught twice.
Abban a minutumban, hogy kattant a zár, a kulcs ismét szárnyra kapott - immár igencsak megviselt állapotban.
2. pld.: The brown owl that Harry had sent to Sirius with the dates of the Hogsmeade weekend turned up at breakfast on Friday morning with half its feathers sticking up the wrong way; Harry had no sooner torn off Sirius's reply than it took flight, clearly afraid it was going to be sent outside again.
Az iskolai bagoly; amelyik a roxmortsi hétvége dátumát vitte Siriusnak, úgy érkezett vissza péntek reggel, hogy minden második tolla visszafelé állt, s miután Harry megszabadította a válaszlevéltől, rögtön szárnyra kapott - nyilván el akarta kerülni, hogy esetleg újabb túrára küldjék ilyen zord időben.
3. pld.:Jobb lesz, ha indulunk - mondta Beszélő. "We had best take flight," said Speaker.

-> Erre kaphatnék egyetlen létező példamondatot, olyat, ahol a take flight a visit szinonimája? Mert ilyen nincs. Lehet szárnyra kap, elrepül vagy elmenekül. Semmiképpen sem látogat.

ellátogat

Explanation:
Literally means to make a visit. In Hungarian, it comes with appropriate inflexion/conjuagation as follows:
to TAKE FLIGHT into ... - ELLÁTOGATNI
he's TAKING FLIGHT into ... - ELLÁTOGAT
I'm TAKING FLIGHT into ... - ELLÁTOGATOK
They - ELLÁTOGATNAK
We - ELLÁTOGATUNK
etc.

Asker may want to decide whether it implies being forced as gabor_varkonyi suggested. Evaluating these sentences below makes me think that it may be as well about a leap of one's free will rather than being on the run:

Your conscious awareness will become free to take flight into your mind's eye.

These and many other such selfless and dedicated leaders laid the strong foundation for free India to take flight into it’s bright future.

However, we could as well compromise with SZÖKÉS that means to leap and flee at the same time with less implication of being forced to do so.

to - szökni
he - szökik
they - szöknek
we - szökünk
etc.

It’s an enjoyable evening, but one that more often than not fails to take flight into the realms of pure musical farce.

To read Okri's work is to take flight into a wondrous realm of Thought

neutral  Istvan Nagy: given the context by the asker the term should be sth like "elmélyül" or "utazik"

agree  gabor_varkonyi: Ez esetben (after clarification) valóban "szárnyra kap" a saját életében, és nem "menekül".

"elmélyül" "utazik"

Explanation:
If the context is that of a kind of spiritual healing/journey the term flight should not be taken literally, it rather refers to the depths of the soul?
