Tidak jelas apakah u/ lepas (take off) atau landas (landing); yang pasti kerja "flight quarters" ini semacam membimbing. Hal khusus dalam lepas-landas di kapal adalah hal itu mungkin dilakukan pada saat kapal bergerak, plus landasannya sendiri mungkin tidak selalu stabil karena terpaan gelombang laut.
