Xeriscaping è un metodo di progettazione del paesaggio che ha lo scopo di consumare la minor quantità di acqua possibile, ridurre lo spreco energetico e la quantità di pesticidi e fertilizzanti utilizzati. Si tratta di una linea di progettazione eco-sostenibile e a bassa manutenzione in genere utilizzata in zone a clima secco o in cui le risorse idriche sono limitate ma che oggi viene estesa anche da chi vuole evitare lo spreco di acqua, una risorsa costosa e limitata.
