Explanation:
fardèllo s. m. [der. dell’arabo farḍ: v. fardo]. – Fagotto, grosso involto da portare per lo più a spalla, o da caricare sopra un veicolo: un pesante f.; far fardello, fare fagotto. Spesso fig.: un f. di cognizioni inutili; ognuno ha il suo f. di noie, di dolori.

Mi piace questa immagine perché il termine fardello ha già di per sé una connotazione di "contenitore" destinato a raccogliere qualcosa di pesante, di negativo che ci si porta dietro. Se lo stress è troppo, comincia a debordare dal fardello.
Serbatoio o riserva mi fanno invece pensare a un "contenitore" da cui trai energia.

In alternativa, se ci sono ad esempio immagini di riferimento, rimarrei letterale.
