Salve, il termine problematico in questa espressione è TAP.

Ecco la frase per dare un minimo di contesto "Equation 1 is an example of Equation showing a 3-tap filter applied to a reference pixel value."

Come definizione di TAP trovo "tap is essentially just a coefficient for changing the signal".

Quindi vorrei tradurre con un generico "coefficiente" ovvero "filtro a 3 coefficienti" ma non trovo riscontri su google.

Lavorando parecchio con i filtri FIR, c'è sempre il dubbio di come tradurre in italiano il numero "tap". Il termine più corretto è "elementi" del filtro. Tuttavia un filtro FIR a N elementi si dice che è di ordine N, quindi forse è più corretto parlare di ordine del filtro quando non ci si riferisce ai singoli elementi.
