English term or phrase: Flower Prawn Mandapam
A kind of prawn. Latin scientific name is "Penaeus Semisulculatus". I want to know the trade name of this shrimp.
Thank you in advance.

Japanese translation: Penaeus semisulcatus
Explanation:
Would it be possible that this is a typo of "penaeus semisulcatus"? If so, it would be "クマエビ", belonging to the "クルマエビ属".

flower prawn mandapam
フラワー・エビ

Explanation:
日本で採れるエビではない上、最近になって輸入されるようになったようです。最もそれ以前に「車えび」と偽って市場に出ていたかも。最近は「どこ産」というのがうるさいですからね。学術上の翻訳であれば学名のPenaesus semisulcatusでいいと思いますが、台所に行くのにその名前では食欲が湧かないでしょう。魚屋さんで売る、食卓にのせるという記述であれば商品名のフラワー・エビをお勧めします。

Example sentence(s):
  • タイガー・エビが船内加工であるのにたいして、フラワー・エビは水揚げ後、工場で頭取り・パッケージングする陸冷加工。

ボタン海老

Explanation:
インドにマンダパムと言う地名がありますが、おそらくはそこの地元産のボタン海老の事を言うのでしょう。
