English term or phrase: how positive/negative is this word?
I need this few words translated for a questionnaire where participants will be shown a word and will have to rate that word as positive or negative on a scale from 1 to 5.

How can I ask "how positive/negative is this word?" thank you all!

Japanese translation:
Explanation:

Explanation:
This is just another suggestion in case the questionnaire targets the general public including people with minimum education and children (such as upper primary school students). If the target is university students, I think the other suggestion is perfectly fine. It's just that using easier words makes the questionnaire usable for a wider range of people.
