English term or phrase: a big guage
So … the way how we started of looking at the problem was looking at it from a very high level in terms of "how do I tackle… how do I learn from a specific channel and apply this scheme across different channels?" And so that'd a good thing in terms of cross-channel learning. And for a marketer that's a very big gauge and instead of working with multiple players to solve the same problem, now there is one person who kind of looking at it a very holistic way and then trained to tackle it across the different possibilities.

=> This is an abstract from an interview with a company who provides adaptive advertising personalization platform. I need to make sure that "a very big gauge" here means 'important criteria'.

Before I looked at your conclusion, "important criteria", "重要な判断基準" popped into my head. So I agree with your conclusion.

大局的na見地

Explanation:
It may be referring to "a wider perspective" or "wider coverage" in an analogical way; instead of a ruler with a minimum measuring unit of say 1mm, a ruler with a minimum unit of 1cm is used, something like that.

My assumption comes from "looking at it from a very high level" that comes before the term and "instead of working with multiple players to solve the same problem" that comes immediately after the term.

Something in line with the "holistic" approach.

This is in response to your note to my answer. I thought that you thought this could mean "important criteria" from the overall context including the parts not quoted above. As I can only assume the meaning from the given text, which is all about the holistic approach, it seems more plausible to interpret it in line with the "holistic way".

Asker: This is the other meaning that came up my mind and could not be sure whether it is 需要な判断基準 or 大局的見地
