Can someone explain the difference (if any)between "menghantarkannya" and "menghantarnya"?

menghantar / menghantarkan
Explanation:
Tatabahasa Dewan explains that the suffix 'kan' indicates the verb to be 'kausatif', [this applies only to transitive sentences, i.e. it is of the structure: subjek + prediket + objek], as compared to the suffix 'i', which indicates the verb to be 'lokatif'.

e.g.
1. Pak Osman menghadiahkan basikal kepada Ahmad, but
Pak Osman menghadiahi Ahmad sebuah basikal.
2. Ali memberi kucing makanan, but
Ali memberikan makanan kepada kucing.

In this case, it would be:
1. Saya menghantar ibu sepucuk surat
2. Saya menghantarkan sepucuk surat kepada ibu

As for the usage of the suffix 'nya', I'm not sure if it's valid in this case. 'nya' has 3 purposes:
1. kata nama ganti diri orang ketiga untuk menandakan kepunyaan, cth. bukunya = buku kepunyaan dia
2. oleh beliau/dia, cth. dipilihnya buku
3. kata pascakata penekan/pembenda, cth. sesungguhnya, nampaknya, bukan kepalang sakitnya, dengan lantangnya.

Hope this helps somewhat.
