- my sugestions are based on my understanding what 'rolling start' is in automobile racing.

- basically 'rolling start' is a starting procedure that involves competing cars departing the starting grid behind a pace car and making at least one lap of the circuit at moderate speed. after the pace car has left the circuit, usually via the pit entrance, drivers will maintain their positions on the pace lap until the starter displays the green flag, signifying the start of the race. the race officially begins when the first car crosses the starting line after completion of the scheduled pace lap(s) regardless whether or not the starter has displayed the green flag.
