the boy is completely full of nonsense Gutten er (helt) full av tøv Explanation: Not sure if it makes for a great song title, but at least it mirrors your original title :-). I put "helt" -> "completely" in parenthesis as I believe the meaning comes across nicely without it. |

Gutten er (helt) full av nonsens / (sludder) Explanation: is also possible. Good luck, Jeff Fahnestock! Wait a little, I'll research the matter. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 2005-01-01 10:00:35 (GMT) -------------------------------------------------- 60 Norwegian pages for \"av nonsens\" 37 Norwegian pages for \"av sludder \" -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 2005-01-01 10:02:24 (GMT) -------------------------------------------------- 58 Norwegian pages for \"av tøv\". Leave it \"av nonsens\". -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 2005-01-01 10:04:39 (GMT) -------------------------------------------------- Re.: Oxford Engelsk-Norsk Ordbook (Hornby, Svenkerud) ISBN 82-02-02257 Reference: http://www.google.com |

the boy is completely full of nonsense gutten prater bare tull Explanation: back translates into "the boy just talks nonsens". In Norwegian "full of" is not as incorporated in the language as in English with this meaning. The expression "brater bare tull" gives 60 direct hits on Google. http://www.google.no/search?q="prater bare tull"&sourceid=mo... -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 43 mins (2005-01-01 10:23:37 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- should be \"prater bare tull\", NOT \"brater bare tull\"... |

the boy is completely full of nonsense Gutten er (helt) sløv Explanation: The direct transaltion is in Norwegian "Gutten er full av tøv/tull", this does not sound correct. I would rather use the term "gutten er (helt) sløv" which means the boy is slow. Which is a more recognized term in Norway, than "Gutten er full av tøv/tull |
